Alice Catherine Thompson Fischer, 93 of Havana, FL. passed away Thursday, November 26, 2021 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
Graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Shelfer Cemetery near Havana.
Mrs Fischer was born August 14,1928 in Schuyikill, PA. The daughter of the late John H. Thompson, and the late Edna Bubek Thompson. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Havana. Past President of Havana Garden Club 1991-1993 She was a Master Gardener, she loved working in her yard. She was a long time volunteer with Red Cross. She also worked a brief time with the CIA in Europe. What she enjoyed the most in life was raising her four grandchildren, teaching life lessons and of course, lots of fun times.
She is survived by her daughters Betsy Coxen and Susan Warren (husband Rick). Her son-in-law Miller Butler. Her four grandchildren Jack Butler (wife Casey) David Coxen, Brett Butler, and Michelle Coxen Wilhelm (husband Captain Matthew Wilhelm) her great grandchildren Carson, Fischer and Addison. Her brother David Thompson and sister Lois Anderson. Sister-n-law Patsy Poppell and niece Patti Poppell.
She is preceded in death by her husband Colonel Richard F. Fischer in 2007. Her daughter Mary Anne Butler in 2014 and her son-in-law Dean Coxen in 2010.
