Mrs. Addie Merle Lambert, 87, of Havana, Fl. died Thursday, February 26, 2009, in Tallahassee. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2009, at Riverside Baptist Church with Pastor Ward Bradley officiating. Internment will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Havana.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 28, 2009, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Faith Funeral Home in Havana (850-539-4300 or www.faithfuneralhome.com).
Mrs. Lambert was born July 10, 1921, in Grady County Georgia. She lived in Havana for 63 years where she worked for more than thirty years with Woodberry, Delacy, Hava-Tampa Tobacco Company. She was known as a hard worker, friendly, and never meeting a stranger. She loved to talk and was a big jokester. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Lambert is survived by her husband of 62 years, Earnest Lambert of Havana; one son, Billy Lambert of Tallahassee; a daughter, Alice Alday of Tallahassee; and her son-in-law, William Colvin of Havana. She has eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Grace Colvin.
